A Filipino caricaturist in the name of Sam Villaflor is doing his art during night time at Times Square, New York City. He is the only Filipino street artist in New York City. Other artists, mostly Chinese, are also seen here doing their caricature or portrait works.

When these same tourists final,y sit in your chair to be drawn, you always hearth response, "wow! I didn't know it actually was gonna LOOK like me!"

These guys blatantly display the work of others and you see the same samples on multiple stands! They will intimidate you into not setting up beside them, try to steal your customers in some cases, and all the while gullible tourists will pass by your stand with your samples, to sit in their chairs like drones. Why do they do this? "because they're ASIAN" I've heard them actually say this.

My names Elgin Subwaysurfer Bolling, and I've worked caricature here along with Kenly Dillard who did it for any year and trained me. There is a lot of favoritism with Asian artist by the tourists who line up to be drawn, and by the cops who refuse to harass them, but will harass...other artists.

bunch of thieves...they tell you $5 for a drawing. What they dont tell you is that if you dont buy the frame, $20, your picture that he/she drew in 4 minutes will go to waste!

In NYC theres a sucker born every minute, especially on forty deuce. Hese guys wouldnt be able to pull this off if it wasnt for the PERCEPTION the public has of Asian artists perod. There is a mistaken notion that, "because they're Asian they HAVE to be good" Ive HEARD tourists say this. Tourists dont know that once they get their drawing they're gonna be hustled for another few bucks for a FRAME that they didnt ask for, while the artists pretend to not know English when they protest.

Bunch of fakes who gang up on any other artist who isnt in their crew and tries to set up. These guys are PORTRAIT artists who rob the public, advertising samples they didnt draw and these tourist fools literally JUMP into their chairs while passing YOU by as you display your own work. I aint hatin. Ive been there.

You know alot of new york side walk caricaturist get a bad rap,why dont you guys start filming the REALLY GOOD SIDE WALK CARICATURIST instead of these hackers there is one really good caricaturist out there and pardon the pun to the magazine hes "MAD"good
