No, it isn't the fault of religion, but it can be avoided by keeping religion in the home and place of worship, where it belongs.

It leads towards closed mindedness. Religous enlightenment should be an idea that comes up once someone can make logical decisions.

i hated this in school i got a lot of hate from my Religious (RE) teacher back in school
