Made possible by the Library 4 All Committee.

In no way is this video intended to offend anyone, and is rather a comical caricature of student responses to the new policy. If you actually watch the video, no comparison between the School Administration and The Third Reich is made.

  • I find it interesting that in the health and education fields there are a disproportionate number of "imbalanced" individuals who "get off" on abusing their positional power and delight in aggravating and undermining the very people they are paid to provide for. It's twisted really... Kudos to the kids for addressing this injustice and counter-productive behavior by using creativity and wit. I'm glad you resolved this problem. Best of luck on the next one...

  • @ALebo6 fuck off you thing ur funny you unathletic turkey face

  • @Enigm0id Nobody gets an unexcused absence if a script is signing up hundreds of kids without their knowledge. There is strength in numbers. As for the various days when it would be inappropriate to let the script run, so what? Let it run anyway. What could possibly go wrong? There ARE defenses that could be devised to make the library signup "script resistant", but that would require effort. With any luck, the policy gets a re-think before they spend money beefing up the server side.

  • @djcavanaugh But you'd have to be in the library ever day, then, since you get an unexcused absence if you don't use your spot. And since the schedule rotates, the script would have to as well. Which means that you would need to keep it synced, taking into account holidays, weekends, drop days, and (god forbid, if the policy stands this long) snow days. Not saying it couldn't be done, but script upkeep would probably be more work than just signing yourself up manually.

  • Well put!

I understand that the librarians wanted a way to keep the library attendance more organized. An electronic system would be great, but the new system isn't fair/a parallel system. Before, you could just sign out of the caf. I don't mind having an electronic system, but I should be able to get into the library spontaneously. @maxton000 - with the new code, every time you send a new registration, it clears anything existing. So instead of appending, it overwrites. That way, you can actu
