The Vermont Lake Monsters snapped a five-game losing streak with the help of a seven-run fifth inning in a 10-1 victory over the Hudson Valley Renegades in New York-Penn League action Friday night at historic Centennial Field.
The Lake Monsters led 3-1 when they sent 13 batters to the plate in the fifth inning and used eight base hits to score the seven runs. The first six batters in the inning singled, including RBI singles for Chad Mozingo, Blake Kelso, Jason Martinson and David Freitas. Justin Miller added an RBI single later in the inning and Connor Rowe capped off the seven-run outburst with his second hit of the inning to plate the final run.
I was at this game and they played a really good game!!!!! :)
