administering very basic drugs is up to the EMR / EMT-B level of training. Administering drugs that was mentioned is more so paramedic / CCP level. Novocaine is a pain-blocker, so yeah--more so paramedic.
You cannot get drugs like that unless you are qualified... and a wilderness first responder is not... although I do know of a lot of hard core back country types that will do what ever needed (on themselves) to make it out of a situation. At least that is what I got out of AgustusLarch's comment...
Dude are you qualified to be administering drugs?? I dont know where you are at, but here in cali thats Paramedic level type shit. Do they allow you to administer drugs in wilderness First responder?? i hope not
I'm prepared for this kind of work too. I backcountry ski a lot. I have a suture kit with hypos and complete instruments in a sterile pack. I can't find any novicaine. How does one get some novacaine.
