Skookum Lake

Crazy ice sounds at Skookum Lake in the Oregon Cascades. We couldn't figure out what the sound was (crank the volume on your computer to hear it) until we saw it happen close by. I still can't figure out the science of how it makes that sound. It was way too fun to not try ourselves. To get to the lake head towards Thunder Mountain and then descend via a spur trail to the lake. Check out www.trailadvocate.org for more information.

intresting. ive herd bigfoot sightings happen here. also did you see any huge fish there ? when the ice was melted of course. whats the best way to et there without hiking 15 miles from the main road?
