Mazda dealerships want to charge you $100 for a new remote and $50 for the 1 minute programming process (on average). Unbelievable price gouging right? That is exactly why people hate dealerships.
With a new or used replacement remote from e-Bay you can have your remote up and working again for about $30. Make sure you replace the remote with one that has the same FCC ID / Model# listed on the back of your remote.
You can program up to 3 remotes per car. After the car recognizes your remote with a single chime then do the next remote.
Programming 3 remotes will take less than 2 minutes. Is that worth $150? Hope this saved you some money! Have a good one.
Good to hear this works on the 98's too. Thanks WilliamDelacey. It should work on just about all Mazda vehicles. Pretty sure it will work on MPV's and B-Series trucks too.
