@dgmafia302 "dodge" is rating that 30k towing. but it falls way behind..duramax being #1 again and ford being right on its tail at #2 and dodge a distant 3rd. cummins is a good engine is to superior to the rest? No! its goods are its great for low speed pulling around town and the farm,ok pulling highway speeds. v8 diesels are good for low speed towing and best for highway pulling. cummins is not the best anymore,,it has equals with different advantages over the cummins, its what best fits you

@mrpoloist I'd love to know why I wrote that comment, but I like the sound of a compression ignition V8 better than the common rail Cummins.

I drive a 7.3 Power Stroke now and it's straight piped. Love the sound at about 1800 rpm.

And yes, the 47RE trans is probably the worst ever put behind a diesel and the 48RE is slightly improved but not much better. The 68RFE is fine with a bit of tuning, but they should have used the Aisin 6 speed in all the trucks.
