I am independent, no where am I biased towards either team. I simply observed that Australia was weak when the sides were even. It's a simple observation over one game.

The fact was that there was contact, end of story. FIFA's simply trying to save their image and attempt to curb the growing amount of threats which fans throw at them each year.

You're simply anti-Italian, and you allow it to cloud your judgment. I'm not interested in debating with a hater.

I think italy losing to egypt 1-0 says enough at the moment, about how good italy is.

FIFA did appologize to the Australians for the referees in the games [I believe 2 of which were then stepped-down, or resigned].

Australia, one on one with Bufoon [18yd], would have been a clear goal.

If you think Australia would have scored on that play with the red card, you have mental issues. Australia can't finish. They're weak.

There was clear contact in the box, it wasn't a dive. That was the only "goal scoring opportunity" that was denied, by an Australian taking down Grosso in the box.

Italy had played a man down for half the game and still came out on top. Well deserved.

the reason australia had a one man advantage, is because italy had a player sent off for -- denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity.

now, they had the choice, let a goal occur, like should of happened, or, be bad sports and take the losers approach by getting a player sent, and save a goal.

therefore, the only way italy scored, was by a penalty, which was awarded from a dive.

From an independent American, I disagree.

Italy dominated the the first half, and the Australians dominated the second. However, Australia had a man advantage the entire second half. Therefore, Italy played slightly better & deserved the win.
