I just learned how to do sheet mulching here in urban San Francisco. It's all about the layers. No need to send your weeds to the city composting, just do it in your own yard and create yummy, nourishing soil.

  • Needs more ricotta.

  • @OregonArborist

this arborist is either smoking crack or a shill for some special interest lobby (likely both).

a few used newspapers and cardboard boxes for a garden bed are not doing harm, are you mad?

the energy and carbon footprint to transport it recycle it and then redistribute somewhere are FAR greater than using it Direct, which is zero and actually sequesters carbon. HAHA wow just realized. that's YOUR website you're just spamming your own site.... stay classy man!

  • @pleabargain It is edited using iMovie -- the software for Mac computers.

  • Sheet mulching with cardboard can also inrease water and energy use too. Google a page called:

The DARK SIDE of LASAGNA GARDENING

It explains the variables. There are two environmental sides of the matter to consider for no-till using cardboard or paper.

Pizza boxes are often non-recycleable, so there we may be looking at pizza gardening rather than lasagna gardening.
