President Obama visited the Louisiana coast for a first hand look at the widening oil spill disaster in the Gulf. As Mark Strassmann reports, Obama called it a "massive disaster."

@kevinjones238 Yeah, but his trying has historically FAILED every time, just like Obama himself. Also, if he raises taxes on the so called Rich as he planns to, you will see even more jobs going over seas, no matter how many fines they get. It will be cheaper there than it would be here.

@usam1981 I work in the aerospace industry. Most of the companies that my employer supplies: Lockheed Martin, Boeing, McDonnell Douglas, Pratt & Whitney and Rolls-Royce Engineering

have ALL increased there order requests. The economy has fluidity. Even though the work load has increased, the private sector is trying to find CHEAPER ways to increase revenue. Even if that means sending jobs overseas. Mr. Obama has no control over the private sector.

@usam1981 Those companies that are doing well have ALL shipped jobs over seas. Remember. The majority of the people that are receiving unemployment benefits are those that were laid off in the first place. The fact that Mr. Obama has extended the payout of benefits says that he is at least trying to provide help. In 2009, my employer laid off 2600 people. Our work load has increased in the past 3 months. The jobs that were lost are now in Mexico!!! The government hires contractors.
