Stephen Rea is wonderful as a middle-aged gay man, decades in the closet, relating to a man young enough to be his son who is still so innocent.

Why the devil did they delete this scene? This particular character of Stephen Rea's is brilliant in his combination of creepiness and odd genuineness, almost sweetness- this scene shows that incredibly well.
