  • I just got the Sony HWR-MC50U and own a mac. What do you mean by "use log and transfer" into imovie? When I use the USB cord provided, the transfer does not work. Should I use a memory card instead for shooting? Obviously, from my question, I am quite the amateur.

  • @paulhugel

great is good to know if is working with Imovie 09 using USB compatiblilty and and transfer without any problem.

Right now I am using as my movie editor Imovie 09 and I don´t know how to used FCE or Pro.

In a week I am traveling with my kids and I want to buy this little camera but I am really scare if is easy sto transfer from the camera to my mac as I do with my old video camera via firewired and editing.

  • How is the low light capture on this cam? Looked a little grainy in the beginning before someone through a flood light out.

  • was this shot with everything on full auto - ie atw, af, etc.
