130 Gallon Reef Room Divider

This reef is 17 years old and was upgraded about 3 years ago to the tank you see here. This is a custom Ocean View 130 gallon reef tank dividing the eating area from the sink area in the kitchen. The tank has a separate filter room with a sump, refugium, and protein skimmer located one story below the tank. Filmed June 2, 2010, tank owner Dr. Elder Athens, GA. This aquarium is one of our service clients.

my friends dad has had a 10 ft tank since 1995 at least and thats the earlyest i can remember it possibly longer.

BTW, reef tanks have been around for much longer than 10 years. They really came into their own in the early 80's. I started keeping them around '85. Just FYI. ;-)

What provides the water movement especially out at the end of the tank?

how do you gravel vacuum with all the reef and stuff in the way. obviously you cant take them out like with fake rocks and plants.

There is a ton of mushrooms everywhere in that tank! Looks awesome though!

@ryjack26 not sure when the first coral reef tanks were started but I know when this tank was first set up it belongs to one of our service clients.
