Make sure you're getting the most out of your asthma medication by getting your inhaler technique right. This video shows the best way to use your Turbuhaler.

  • I taste nothing and it gives me no effect. Also if I turn it upside down after I click it and give it a shake, nothing comes out. I'm quite convinced mine is a placebo.

  • Turbohaler should be help upright when loading a dose, but isn't necessary when doing the inhalation. In fact, if you keep the device upright when inhaling, this means you are probably going to be bending your head forwards in order to do it, which could possibly impede the drug from going into your lungs to some degree, and instead causing it to deposit in the mouth.

  • Well you are meant to hold the Turbuhaler vertical when you load a dose. But keeping it vertical when inhaling is impossible lol.

  • Only necessary for medications containing corticosteroids such as Pulmicort and Symbicort.

  • And....rinse your mouth out after each use...

  • yes thanks doctor.
