On our annual Boy Scout ski trip to Timberline Ski Resort near Davis, West "By God" Virginia, I tried to capture the entire run down the Salamander Run - claimed to be the longest trail in the East at roughly two miles. It was about 17 degrees and a bit windy on Saturday, but it was minus 13 on Sunday morning - we didn't even try to ski on Sunday - got to heck out of town early!

  • what troop are you? and what room were you in, i am in troop 420 from Westminster MD and we went up the weekend after you guys.

  • We're Troop 581 from Gainesville, VA - we were there January 29-30, 2010. (You didn't happen to find a law enforcement badge and ID, did you? One of our Asst. Scoutmasters credentials went missing on Sunday morning).
