  • Summary: Celiac blood test and/or biopsy may not be accurate. To be sure you have to go off gluten for a month and see what happens. If you have an IBD as result of your Celiac, this may take longer to heal.

PS. Do not go gluten-free before a biopsy/blood test.

  • @helgih580 That's okay, as long as the split is 50/50 I'm fine. Table sugar is not a problem at all.

  • @MsSparkleArkle I hope you realize that sucrose (table sugar) splits into glucose and fructose when your body breaks it down. This means that half of the sucrose will be fructose.

  • I would be great if you could do a diet suggestions video for us double whammies. I follow low FODMAP with some success. Just need to up the gluten free element.

  • Thankyou thankyou Dr Vikki. I have commented on your vids before. Diagnosed with FM. Just cant get my guts under control despite STRICT fructose friendly diet. Negative all celiac tests however I have a clear and obvious reaction to things like rice bubbles cereal that have no fructose and no other nasties. Of course! Silly me - your words are spinning in my head. There is no harm on going gluten free for 30 days. I'm just scared there will be nothing left for me to eat!

  • GIves me some hope I'm going to live, But i don't feal like it right now , i just got diagnosed with Celiac Disease and i feal as if Gluten is Killing me.

  • YOU are FAN-tastic, Doctor!

I am SO glad to have gotten to share this video with my siblings. I have 5, and only one has chosen to get tested! BUT... They also do not understand that they should get RE-tested every 3 years or so... PERHAPS you can do a video about that? A video ONLY about what siblings NEED to do to protect themselves AND their kids (one brother has a child I believe is Celiac,)... THANKS.
