Music Therapy Program for Children with Special Needs

This is a short introductory movie on the project initiated by The Music Therapy Trust India in partnership with Handicap International Ahmedabad India. The Modified Music Therapy program for Special educator is a comprehensive training program to train the special educator to use music a therapeutic tool to be applied in Music club sessions for children with special needs.

Six workshops for the special educators were conducted at the Blind welfare council (BWC) Dahod, Gujarat.

The children shown in the movie lives in the residential school run by BWC and the special educators are the teaching staff member of BWC getting trained in the workshops.


Mr. Somesh Purey, a certified Music therapist have been the tutor of this project and The Head of the project is Margaret Lobo, she is the director of The Music Therapy Trust, India
