Starfucker (compilation)

Starfucker is a live performance, where image- and sound-samples shot in New York and Rotterdam are mixed to create a narrative. Exploring the possibilities of the live-event, every time the story is built up in a different way, according to the atmosphere, the location, and the reactions of the people in the audience.
In the course of the performance [about 50 minutes] the viewer is taken deeper and deeper into the story. The story starts quiet and calm introducing the main character's desire to become famous: glitterous, glamourous. As the story continues, samples of groupies and stars show the other side of success - the hollow hedonism. Here the story inverts and takes you into the shadow of the game and shows a scenery of people distorted by glamour.
