@seashorebeauty I think there is zero chance this boy wandered off - nothing to do with a locked or unlocked door.

I think that it is so important that parents secure the doors when you have young kids in the house. An extra lock at the top so they can't reach. If the boy really did walk a head of his stepdad and vanished- then a locked door might've saved him. Same with Hailey IF she wandered out the door.
