I haven't seen this movie, but I agree with your observation that theme music with the signature quality of Thomas Newman's adds an indispensable and indefinable layer of meaning to a production. Indeed it makes me want to see it...

@mickyshaun I appreciate the kind words. It was a combination of temporarily being inhabited by the music, and the character limit imposed by Youtube. Without both, it would have been unreadable.

This song made this film so much more beautiful. The song was, just like in Titanic, always started on exactly the right moment, just to make everything somehow more intense. This film is amazing.
