Finally, after being slowed up by my job, my difficult college classes, and DotA 2 beta I finally was able to beat Arthas. The strategy is pretty simple, just executing it requires perfect timing and positioning. The only requirement besides perfecting your cooldown rotation and dps is that you run a Card Board Assassin on your belt so that you may get Necrotic Plague on yourself. Other than that its just burn the Lich King and keep yourself alive. For Phase 1 and Phase 2 90% is the key mark because of infest, for Phase 3 do what you can to minimize vile spirit damage, like kiting and using cooldowns. I started working on this boss during Firelands progression, but due to the above mentioned hold-ups wasn't able to kill him until Dragon Soul launch. The most difficult part in my opinion is the transition phases, you have to get close enough to the ice spheres to pestilence them but if you stay too close when the next raging spirit spawns you get knocked down and punted off the platform. On top of that you have to deal with the damage the ice spheres deal to you, the 5 second silence the raging spirits do, and pain and suffering damage. Overall is was a crazy solo and I am very pleased with myself.
