When I was a young I saw her and thought she was so pretty. She still is.

I'm reading her book too, and she does say it was a bad interview. She seems to just blurt things out and I think it just got more uncomfortable (Dave and Paul don't do anything to help her here). She was trying to downplay the whole Penthouse Most Beautiful thing and I think it just came off badly. Love the 80s outfit! Her book is really good, and she's brutally honest about herself and her shortcomings, very real in the book. Everyone bombs on TV occasionally....Dave at the Oscars, anyone?

omg I DO think shes strung out on coke or something along those "lines" lol. She really never came across as "conceited" or snobby- quite the opposite. But, shes carrying herself like Madonna did in 1994 when she was also supposibly high. Yeah, Valerie is def wried on something.

I remember when they were both on the CBS team of Battle of the Network Stars in Nov.1978. Dave didn't interact with anyone really. As for Val, well she was sweeter than sweet :)

Letterman is a lousy, rude interviewer who is compelled to try to make his guests look bad to cover for his own inadequacies and lack of talent. Valerie is still a class act.
