Countries from around the world have been showing great interest in who will become the next US president, including Iran, which has economically and politically isolated itself from the Western power.

Al Jazeera's Teymoor Nabili reports from Tehran where many wonder whether a new president can ease the rifts both countries share.

  • @PXaramillo Turkey killed some people in the suppression of the rebellions by terrorist factions like the PKK but they never killed Baha'is, (which aren't Muslim) Turkey is a secular republic which tolerates all religions while Iran is a theocracy.

  • iran -> stupid country

  • i hope al bahais been kiled ho are persian

  • we fucking USA, IRAN 4ever ;-)

  • Please explain what that has to do with Iran.

  • You mean in Iran or Turkey, because Iran maybe during the 70s, but not now. Turkey killed Dersim, Alevi and Bahai Muslims, not to mention countless Sunni and Shiite Arabs and Kurds.

  • And bahai are executed.

  • Indeed, I know for a fact Turkey discriminates against Muslims, if I remember correctly you are banned to wear a Hejan (spelling?) in Turkey. Whereas in "evil" Iran Armenians worship and live free and peacefully.

  • ElBaradei criticized Iran, however, for continued attempts at uranium enrichment. "Iran has not addressed the long outstanding verification issues or provided the necessary transparency to remove uncertainties associated with some of its activities...," wrote ElBaradei.
