Damnit, I figured. Do you think their is any other controlling devices I can use with maya? Jim henson studios has gloves that they use to do all the facial animations and lip sync movements in real-time.

I suppose this type of technology is way too expensive for indies?

definitely not, this product is more of a novelty then anything, its biggest flaw is accuracy, and stability, its virtually impossible to keep still so the curser makes a lot of little movements, and after about 20min youll just get frustrated with it and go back to using a regular mouse. theres a reason this was discontinued, its junk

Do you think its possible to use this as a controller device for digital puppets in say Maya? This would be an ultimate device for facial expressions and mouth movements

combine it with a novint falcon so you can feel objects in games, then I'll buy one.

it can be much more than a mouse if you use GlovePIE (and I believe there are other stuff out there that extends the uses for it that I'm not familiarized with)

it works with all games, its basically just a mouse, so whatever you can do with your mouse, you can do with this
