  • We just started to get into this kind of work, so I personally havne't seen very many, however I heard that E36 body style is even worse than the E46.

  • Depending on how bad it is, You might want to try welding plates on the top and bottom, cover as much of the area as possible, then find some frame rail supports to weld those plates to and use plenty of gussets.

  • @yournamehere954 for all e46 m3s? And do you have to have a warranty? Im about to buy that's why I'm asking

  • Just got a reinforcement kit for my 325i for £147. Any idea on labour costs?

  • This is disappointing , I always understood German engineering was much better than this, I'm considering the E46 M3 myself....now I'm having second thoughts.

  • I know the settlement has expired, but will BMW still fix this problem for free under any circumstances? Had anyone ever gotten it fixed by BMW after the settlement ended? Any response will be very helpful, thank you

  • @chiperta In this video reinforcements are being done to an e46 M3. I'm guessing since it's being done to it now, it was not done to it in the factory.

  • If you have an e36 m3 this reinforcement is done in the factory so there is no need to be done.

  • Looks decent I think that I would of spot drilled with a 1/8 or 1/16 drill to stop the cracking I had a car that I cracked the strut towers yes due to abuse and spot drilling right at the end of the crack stopped it. Cracks can continue even after welding if they aren't spot drilled. Nice Vid though

  • this is an extreme case involving abuse and neglect, the owner would have been driving it for months after it broke and was obviously doing a lot of burnouts when he knew about the problem.
