Optimus V vs Intercept

Please see newer review of Triumph vs Optimus vs Intercept. It has benchmarks of Intercept with the current update of android 2.2.2 . (though updated Intercept still performed lower then optimus in benchmarks)
A comparison of LG Optimus V and Samsung Intercept 2.1. Both are prepaid Virgin Mobile beyond talk phones. If you want basic specs you can find them at the virgin mobile web site. I have gone over phone boot times, speaker sound, camera, benchmark scores, wifi speed test, antenna, and more.

Here it is in writing brief pros and cons of each phone.

Optimus pros: brighter crisp screen, records video at 640x480 17fps 3g2 and data rate 1853kbps, physical push buttons menu home back search, Android 2.2.1, light and thin, 64-bit compatible, stable with all routers I tried, dedicated voice dialer button, phone back sits flat not wobbly when using phone on flat surface, better contrast and sharper pictures. LG Optimus has a 600 MHz Qualcomm MSM7627 with dedicated GPU to perform 3D accelerations. 512MB RAM.

Optimus cons: poor speaker thus poor loud ringtone, no slide out qwerty, no physical call end button (if multi tasking must navigate back to phone screen from home screen or drop down menu to end call), back sits flat on speaker muffling sound a bit, screen plastic. on board memory 140MB

Intercept pros, slide out qwerty, dedicated call end button, very loud speaker with good sound quality, phone back doesn't sit flat allowing for better sound such as ringer or music, glass screen, camera truer colors in auto mode. 512mb on board memory.

Intercept cons: ships android 2.1 , laggy with 2.1, Touch buttons can be unresponsive, Screen quality poor and dim, lower screen resolution, records video at 352 x 288 14fps 3g2 with data rate 389kbps, some games can be slower to the point of not working, scored way lower on benchmark between 2 phones, camera pictures wasn't as sharp. Intercept handles 3D OpenGL rendering in software rather than hardware with it's 800 mhz Qualcomm QSC6075 processor. only 256MB RAM.

update: Thank you! westworth327 for checking benchmark 2010 score on a sprint Samsung intercept with update 2.2.1... He said "ran that Smartbench 2010, I got 181-171 first time, then a 176-176 score. Some results, lol. Not much better than 2.1 I see..." This means that Intercept update 2.2.1 doesn't make much of a difference.

@Crissybesr you can set it up online. if you have the phone number and network ID you can program it in by hand dialing ##virgin# and choose edit. if there is a error message on the phone then call vm and tell them of the error and make sure they wave the fee to do it for you.
