There must be a thousand self-made bike videos on youtube where the viewer watches a great video but hears only:
incredibly loud background music, or; nuthin' but wind noise!
Can't hear the engine! I ride with an onboard video camera with a remote microphone which I place behind me so i can see the video AND hear the exhaust, all the gear shifting, acceleration, the essence of motorcycling!
If you want to truely share the experience, try shielding the mike or using a remote mike. Great road!
