MegaMan X8: Item Hunt P3 - Troia Base 2 X-Style (Part 14)

The second run to get the last rare metal. I'll be doing this with mostly X with his Head Parts H. This is just to show that it is possible to S-rank every room without using Zero and his spinning attack. Again, if you're not confident in your abilities, you could always go get a long range weapon for Zero and return here.

As for the rooms...

[Room 1]: If you can't S-rank this, then there's no hope for you...

[Room 2]: Airborne. Basic attacks will not take this guy out quick enough. With X, spam the Thunder Dancer (Gigabolt's Weapon) - makes the task much easier.

[Room 3]: A room with platforms moving horizontally. Fairly easy. If the enemy's below you, take advantage of the platforms' sides. Be careful not to fall.

[Room 4]: Fighting two enemies with platforms moving vertically. This is nearly impossible with just basic weapons. I suggest using the Double attack, then finish them off with a couple hits. You can use both X and Zero at this part, but I find Zero more useful since his slashes have vertical range.

[Room 5]: A giant enemy that gets smaller every time you hit it. X and Zero can be used here. I'd recommend Zero since he can reflect most of the bullets back at the enemy.

[Room 6]: A conveyor belt and a moving spike wall. Use X and take out the enemy as fast as you can. The more time you waste here, the better chance of you falling off the conveyor belt or getting hit by the spiked wall. If you get hit by the enemy, ignore it and keep on the offensive.

[Room 7]: Two enemies, one with a hammer and the other with a rifle. You only have 7 SECONDS to S-rank this. Every shot from X must count. Rapidly shoot buster shots with your special weapons button while charging up your buster with the other button. Release as soon as it's charged. Kill the rifle guy first, then the hammer guy. You have to be lightning fast.

[Room 8]: The harder version of the sub-boss. Don't be reckless, as this boss can easily kill you, especially if you have health bars the same size as mine.


A new challenger has appeared! Poor guy hasn't learned to wall jump...

I have done this twice now, or so do I think.

Can you be more specific on S rank. S-rank = Top floor all the time? I have done it twice now that way but I only got the rare metal once. Thanks :)
