See how to easily modify your wordlists files to make a dictionary file as efficient as possible for WPA cracking (bruteforce of a handshake) with to the script wordlist.sh. The 4 steps for optimizing the dictionary file are carried out automatically by the script:

-Merge all your wordlists files
-Modify the dictionary with John The Ripper
-Optimize the dictionary for WPA cracking
-Sort and remove duplicates

  • @QUIV3R Just make a little search on the website crack-wifi com

  • how about a updated version for backtrack 4?

  • Yes this is a good idea, maybe I'll work on it someday.

  • Is there anyone here who'd like to take up a challenging handshake file to bruteforce for WPA cracking? I can't crack it and I have exhausted my 300MB of dictionary file?

  • Do you really believe someone will lose his time and computing power trying to break your handshake? Ok, so you're probably waiting for xmas father to come right now lol!

  • @salineballer0399 Given that most WPA encrypted routers use a mixalpha-numeric character set, I expect your bruteforce using crunch is going to take some time. Actually, you posted this 3 months ago, so assuming you kept at it never stopping the process ever, you should still trying to crack it.

  • Thank you for sharing, works great !

  • WTF are talking about ??? damm i must a noob

  • LOL!

    backtrack = for noobs

    TIP # 1 FOR YOUTUBE NOOBS THAT WANNA HACK - you won't ever be able to crack every password with a wpa. frankly, if you're able to with a wordlist they are worthy of being haxed.

    TIP # 2 - download and install crunch for linux. pipe the output from crunch into aircrack-ng

    eg(cuz your all noobs)

    crunch 8 12 -f charset.lst lalpha-numeric | aircrack-ng *.cap -w "-"
