Amazing how well this concept comes off in hi def. The extreme closeups work like a charm.  What make and model of camcorder are your people using nowadays?

@carlwilkerson For this I just used my Canon HF S100 on a tripod. I didn't even bother with a boom mic. I did use 2 double work lights for light though. I also render out as an image sequence in progressive at max quality, before converting to mp4 for upload to youtube. Seems to retain most of the quality. A few years ago it was hard to get it to look good even on SD. YouTube sure has come along way.
