  • Claiming victory in Iraq is like trying to away with murder.

    The Nazis loved taking france.

Its not going to happen America. There is no winning.

The world isn't or going to be cheering.

  • sunstrider, ur absolutely insane. Congress, the American people, the rest of the world wants to leave iraq once and for all.

The costs of the war are wayyyy higher than any of the "weapons sales" u mention. Americans want a peaceful Iraq so we can leave, not stay

  • This is my openion and I could be wrong as I am not an expert. the United States DOES NOT WANT to defeat the insurgency any time soon (eventhough it can). Infact, its thriving on the insurgency. How? If the insurgency stops, America will no longer have any good reasons to stay in Iraq. And I dont think America wants to leave Iraq. So it needs the insurgency to enhance weapon sales, test its weapons and buy time to build the 14 military bases in iraq.

  • the truth - the surge is working

  • Our troops can hold Humpty Dumpty together for as long as they can be there apparently. Is that justification for staying there indefinitely?

  • Well we're winning now and the Fox News crowd is sticking their tongue out at the Democrats...as if this whole thing was such a brilliant idea after all - just because they have managed to make this catastrophe a little less catostrophic. Think they'll jump into Iran head first like they did Iraq? Highly doubt it. Proof that the Iraq thing was an idiotic idea no matter how it ends.
