I always check the profile of who I'm answering to, because maybe I can answer to them in my mothertongue ^^;;
Also, I normally tend to use dollars online because most people always ask later how much dollar that price is. Though this normally happens with higher prices (like when you want to buy a console or a computer).

You think we Europeans don't know about dollars? Also, I don't use them as currency, just meaning that was what it roughly costed me to rent them (2€ each...)

I rented the first 4 and played through each of them in two days so maybe it didn't feel that bad as I payed like 10$ to play through the game.
I hadn't played too many games on PS2 by that time. Still, when I got to Quarantine I really wanted it to end but until the end of Outbreak it still felt allright to me.
If you compare the original 4 to other PS2 launch titles in Japan they weren't that bad (just not good enough for the price).

C'mon, I love .hack, and I think the first 4 games were total shit. Completely boring, grudging, more like work than fun. GU is fun and has a lot of shit to distract you, but it's basically the same game. Plus, It only has 3 level designs, whereas the first 4 had about 8 or 9.
