Keep in mind that I'm specifically using a soloing talent build. Typically I misdirect multishot on the pull, and I feign death regularly to keep my threat down. After the first FD, I have no problems multi-shotting without pulling aggro.

do you think this is possible with a spirit beast? from my testing they help alot with aggro management. less FD and Misderects but still very bad at aoe mob threat.

A spirit beast will do well at holding aggro on *one* target, but not multiple targets. For multiple you need a tenacity pet for Thunderstomp. Bear and Crocs also have another aoe ability and will do better holding aggro. Turtles have a damage reduction ability and are better for staying alive.

Why the turtle Frost? Would a bear or Croc., or goriila work ? Seems to me that the bear with the tallents speced for t/clap and his swipe ability would be the best AOE tank pet. Just asking?
thanks

Turtles have the best damage mitigation with their Shell Shield ability. In general you aren't worried about dps or threat when doing extreme soloing - as long as your pet survives you'll be okay, so the turtle is the best pet.
However, if damage isn't a problem, a croc or bear will make things go a bit faster.
