il-96-300 is one of the best planes i have ever traveled in, personally i would say it is beater that a 747 ( which is old). when i landed in Cuba and gatwick the landing was hard too feel because the pilots and the plane were both amazing

you might be right on that one, but i would still prefer to fly to Russia in a Tupolev :) and if I go to the states i would prefer a nice Boeing :)

@aleko008 Boeing 767-400 seating capacity is up to 375 passengers in high density layout. Still burning much, MUCH less fuel per seat mile than anything in Russia.

@stasisnu18 I hope so too. Then they'll go bankrupt and real airlines like S7 can have a market with free competition.

No future??...it is still in production since 1993 and it has had several improvement, specially in the cockpit controls. Dude, there are older airplanes that are still in production, like the 747. As a matter of fact, the IL-96 is smaller that the 747 but it can do Habana-Moscow non-stop travels without problems. Trust me, this is a serious flying machine.

I like the IL-96 to the IL-86 both are great but the IL-96-300 looks better in my opinion, i like the wing-let at the tip of the wing.. still the interior of the aircraft could improve abit though..no offense
