@MrGr1874 no i do not have the Kentucky any more i wish i still did! however this new lyman i can shoot a group about the size of a CD at 100 yards so I am more then confident to take a good and lethal shot out to that yardage cant be any happier with the rifle!

I have a Lyman Great Plains rifle in .54 caliber. Mine's a percussion with fixed sights. At first I was shooting way, way low and I had to file down the front sight blade a LOT. After that I was bullseyeing bowling pins at 100 yards. You're right, Lyman makes a great gun, no complaints. Love the understated looks, it's not flashy and overall quality.
