  • @gokuo64 So how could you keep a right of the minorities? You have to tolerate "power game" forever? Yes, there are still a lot of the minorities in the world waved by big powers and they are all struggling for their own future. Unfortunately, Russian and Chinese are too selfish to accept a globalization. They have no room to think about a right of the minorities. Now I support Ainu on youtube. It is a small work, but I hope the world people will support Ainu to recover our motherlands some day.

  • @toki1221 I'm sorry but political border disputes are a tough! It may take years for them to be settled. Taiwan and China is a good example. The Chinese government still believes Taiwan is a part of China and wants it back! Every time other countries try to support Taiwan in this matter, the Chinese government just gets angrier.

  • @gokuo64 Yes, the situation is getting better and better. In fact, Ainu were recognized as the indigenous people in Japan on June 6 in 2008. However, there are still a lot of problems about Ainu. The biggest one is a territorial problem with Russia. Ainu had been living in Hokkaido, Kuril and Sakhalin. But now Russian even doesn't keep the peace treaty. I do hope the world people support Ainu to recover their motherlands.

  • Thanks for uploading this. It was a very interesting, I'm glad that they interviewed the AInu people in Japanese and didn't do any of those terrible voice overs. It was good to really hear what they wanted to say in the original Japanese. I've been living in Japan for 5 years and I've seen what they are talking about but I do think Japan is changing and that young people are much more fair and open minded. I hope things continue to change for the better here for everyone.
