@Adamwaddum ...Oh... and by the way. I know sometimes the tip of the dick is called "head" but it doesn't mean you have to actually think with it., it is supposed to be used to urinate and to procreate (although please do the world a favour and DON'T, we don't need more dickheads, we're good with just you...).
-
@Adamwaddum well I only commented it cuz exactly the same thing happened to me when I played it and Sabin was dead also. And YES I am a woman. You're on the other hand obviously a man... at least you act as a dick.
-
@leesha That's a horribly idiotic theory, you're obviously a woman.

@Luirio I mean this game

@Luirio I was talking about ff6

And i have another hypotheses with this issue...2 events meet up: The character option opening and the boss dispearing.
And both used the same code so what happened is the console don't know what to do and take something Raqndom and unfortunately it take the Fire attack
If I was to make a guess, if you was casting fire with Terra (Because he the boss seems to be weak to that) the game has a tendency to screw up in the turn order. I've had this happen where all enemies were gone, and qued up attacks would still go through and I would attack a random party member. (On the cartridge and emulator)
If Terra was casting fire, Ultros died, that que glitch happened, fire hit Banon, and he died. Resulting in a black screen, fire sound, and then game over.

Sounds understandable... I didn't see banon get hit by fire though.

If I may give my opinion why this happened.. (Maybe someone already pointed it out) but I think, since Sabin was dead when the battle ended, well... he hadn't strenght enough to fight ultros. So It may not be an error, maybe it's just what happens if Sabin is dead when the fight ends.

That has nothing to do with it. Even if Sabin is dead, it doesn't matter. Once he runs out of his 3000 HP, the raft cutscene triggers, regardless of anyones HP amount, as long as banon is full.
