yes, it can import all sorts of format, including the one above as well as blue ray as well as flv for internet streaming

actually it doesnt support mov. files I t wont let me I need a video converter!

It does support .mov files. The camera that I'm using records using .mov, you just need to download quicktime player from apple :)

Do get it. Its not so expensive as compared to other video editing software and the learning curve is pretty low :)
