My first upload of the year! I had NO idea this medley would be almost eight minutes long. O_O

I am dedicating this video to my good friend Gabe, just because I can't think of any other friends in particular who are true FFIX fans.

I decided to do a medley of my favorite and very first Final Fantasy game, FFIX. I remember back then, I would replay this game over and over. I love this game particularly because it has taught me many things about life, and I find the music to be very complementary!

I printed out these sheets many years ago, and I have no idea why I haven't thought about doing this medley until now. The sheets I used were arranged by Arnold Morrison. I do not play exactly as shown in the sheet music, however. Sheet music can be found on Nobuo Uematsu's website:
http://www.nobuouematsu.com

One thing I noticed: I move around WAY too much when I play...

I really tried my best in playing Eternal Harvest. You guys can catch some mistakes in there, but I put as much emotion into that piece as I could. I actually arranged the ending as well.

You guys may wanna use headphones for this one. I accidentally plugged the aux cord into "Mic In" instead of "Line In" for each piece. From experience, "Line In" produces better audio quality. I can't believe I forgot about that! Therefore, I couldn't amplify the sound too much, or else it would sound too distorted. The sound should still be clear enough for you to enjoy though!

Eternal Harvest (0:00 - 1:18)
Gargan Roo (1:18 - 2:28)
Loss of Me / Rose of May (2:28 - 3:43)
Kuja's Theme (3:43 - 4:57)
Song of Memory (4:57 - 7:54)

  • awsome kris...what kind of piano/keyboard are u using there ? How many years you been playing ?

  • @taskmaster83 I am using a Casio PX-130. The keys may be a little on the light side, but the sound quality is great! I have been playing for about almost fourteen years now. :)

  • Duuuude. This was awesome! Btw What do you use to record your audio? Sounds so clear.

  • @aznsensation520 Thanks! I transferred the audio from my piano to my Zoom H2 Recorder. I accidentally plugged the aux cable into the wrong port on my recorder, so the audio could have been clearer and louder! I still struggle with audio problems, and I have yet to discover how to produce the best quality from my piano!

  • FFX medley request !!

  • @dahemAliasReOpened I actually have FFX sheet music in my binder :D

  • do some dragon warrior 1 on harpsichord!

  • Love it!

  • kris! another awesome job :D loving all your works so far :D

  • Superb! I especially liked Kuja's Theme. And you really don't move around that much. In fact, compared to Kyle, you're quite static! Not that it's bad or anything :)

  • Can you play Tatakau Mono Tachi from FFVII?? I believe you can play well this piece really well!

  • Gargan Roo was toooooo good! xD

  • Nice work, really like your precise playing. FFIX and FFVII were my favorite FF games. I've played it a few times and it never ceases to amaze =)

  • awesome work man! and happy new year to you ^_____^

snappage on the first upload of the year ;)

man, i love the music from this game - it certainly doesn't get covered as much as it should on yt - eternal harvest is such a WIN piece! btw, i also played and beat this game :)))

  • This is the first and only Final Fantasy game I've played from start to end, and I loved it.

I've only played the game about a year ago, but your playing made me feel so nostalgic. I think having Song of Memory was perfect for the last song as well~ Awesome playing man!
