At the end of May 2008, the Shaw family was finally given an audience before the board of supervisors. The family, at an obvious loss implored the board too pursue legislation to introduce Jamiel's Law. Their son was murdered by a person that had no legal standing, to rationalize his presence in the USA, except for the "sanctuary city" attitudes and policies of both the Mayor Antonio Villariagosa and Chief of Police Bratton. The mayor has long maintained the notion of a "sanctuary city" (Los Angeles, CA), and once seizing the mayors office, the insidious plan to flood the city with people (ethnicity notwithstanding) of no legal position, encourage voting (regardless of illegal status) and forever change the demographic dynamic of the area. To suggest that an organization...such would be the case of any city, that illegal activity is acceptable on any level, is to prophesize destruction of the aforementioned organization.
There are five episodes; 1. Althea Shaw, 2. Sgt. Anita Shaw (active duty US Army/Iraq) 3.Jamiel Shaw. Sr., 4. Deputy DA. Steve Ipsen, 5. Jose Aguilar(illegal alien pedophiles). The family's plea is heart wrenching and the DA's three minute presentation of statistical information is jaw dropping. Finally, Mr. Aguilar's presentation, also was a bit alarming. He was addressing the problem of pedophiles in the "Brown community" and is asking the county to do something about the numbers of people in the county illegally, that perpetrate those types of heinous crimes. And just for your edification, a short clip of your garden variety "political-platitudes" offered this time by Supervisor Burke.
Platitude: plat·i·tude - plat·i·tude [pláttə td] (plural plat·i·tudes) n
1. banal statement: a pointless, unoriginal, or empty comment or statement made as though it was significant or helpful
2. use of platitudes: the making of platitudes
[Early 19th century. French , "flatness" plat "flat"]
Interesting... how the very people that create, allow, maintain, and glorify the problem....are the very people the American Citizens are forced too seek redress of that problem....?
I say kill all of them

Heart breaking to see tragedies like this because incompetent "leaders" in government do not enforce simple common-sense laws for the protection of the citizens that pay their salaries.

What about the people killed by legal immigrants? What about people saved by an illegal immigrant. Sorry for these peoples loss but they are getting issues mixed up.

That poor family should not have to go thru this. She is in Iraq fighting and serving the US, only to get a call that an illegal killed her son. That damn illegal shouldn't have been in this country to have a chance to kill her son. People you have got to call your representatives enough is enough. Billions of taxpayer dollars More then the cost of the Iraq war go to supporting illegals every year. More have been killed by illegals then in Iraq. Wake up America please enforce the laws.
