In 1988, several classes from the Western PA School for the Deaf took a field trip to downtown Pittsburgh. The purpose of the field trip was to experience as many forms of transportation the city had to offer.
At that time, WPSD was a total communication school and the teachers used both voice and sign language to communicate with the students.
Part 1 -- train, walk, escalator, subway and incline.
