Look at the Brickshelf gallery I mention in the information for this video - there are a series of still photos that people have built it from before.
wow funny Im watching this while on Discovery the team of Prototype this is working on a stairclimb robot. This idea would suit them well as well ;) nicely done :D
Well, as it is PackBot needs three motors: one on each side, and the third to drive the "flippers". So to drive a Zamor gun, it would need a fourth motor, which would require a PF motor, and PF receiver and PF battery box, along with a Hitechnic IRLink. That's a *lot* of extra baggage to put on this otherwise sleek-looking robot, and would make it a lot heavier. Probably not.
:) Perhaps. But really, I think Ogre is about the most aggressive "tank" I could make, while PackBot is one of the most flexible. When in doubt, try something new.
While you could certainly add a 2nd NXT, that's going to nearly double the weight of this beast, but without doubling the mobility (those extra motors would be used to run the "turret", correct?). Just like in a real armored vehicle, you can't have everything all at once... *especially* when you are trying to design from a very small fixed pallet of parts.
