BEST Bachata Moderna dance - Juan Ruiz and Samantha from Bachateros

This is a free style demonstration of Bachata Moderna by Juan Ruiz and Samantha Cilia, from Bachateros.

Bachata Moderna is based on the bachata traditional steps, but incorporate the concept of the crosses (cross on1, on2, on3, and more). On the freestyle you can see tricky combinations as well as body movement and close connection of the bachata traditional.

The only thing that was rehearsed was the "Magic Yo Yo" move (when Juan moves Samantha by hand waves only), everything else was just in the moment!

@redboyron probably bcuz this is not an authentic way of dancing bachata. look at how she does the "leg lift" move. that makes it look beginner since those are the basic steps to learning bachata dance. 1 2 3 4, 1 2 3 4; the "4" being the "leg lift". this is more choreographed bachata for when youre putting on a show.you wouldnt see ppl dance like this at a casual event, unless you are exaggerating moves to for performance or to show off. for authentic bachata check out Jorjet Alcocer

@jiruiz78 Generalmente los Dominicanos defienden mucho el estilo "puro" de la bachata, pero como dices, es muy reconfortante ver que algunas personas de ese país estén abiertos a la evolución natural de ese estilo ahora que goza de gran popularidad mundial. Saludos desde Sinaloa México, Juan
