  • I remember seeing this when I was *very* little (was this one of the very first of the "News Flash" segments?) and even then I loved the modern, feminist *Ms* Muffett! --

"Sorry Charlie -- Us little girls aren't afraid of spiders anymore!"

  • That spider wouldnt scare me either. He looks like a really cute bowling ball with furry legs, I so want to cuddle him.Lol! But I guess they couldnt make him really scary, kids would have nightmares.

  • Case in pt... FROGS EAT SPIDERS...

So why should Kermit be scared of a spider?

    JK

  • And a Granola Chick to boot!

  • Sesame Street's first feminist!

  • why what was the original?

  • "Well I think you're going to succeed."

    Don't encourage him, Kermit.

  • "What a fearful-looking beast!" Lol :)

  • I loved this sketch as a kid because of all the silly changes that were made, and I wasn't afraid of spiders, either. :)

  • To make the spider a more "fearfull-looking beast", they should've made it big yellow eyes with red pupils, vampire teeth & 3 claws at the end of each of its legs.
