@Deancho Just because it's a mushroom cloud doesn't mean that it's a nuke of any sort. I've seen mushroom clouds in firecracker smoke.

Some people don't realize that most fireballs make a mushroom cloud.
I've seen a mushroom cloud in firecracker smoke.
However, in a nuke there's a different reason that it makes a mushroom cloud. In other stuff, it draws air in the center and makes a donut. In a nuke, the cloud hits a change in the atmosphere and moves outward.
