It doesn't matter whether it's a fumble or not. You have every ref on the field indicating forward pass or incomplete pass. ND players stop because every ref is waving it off. For the review officials to declare it a fumble, after the fact is bizarrely unfair to the players playing the call of the officials at the time. You might as well change the rules in the middle of the game.

Not shocked the Refs will F*ck ND any chance they get. Via UM gameor roughing the snaper call, list keeps going and going.

Textbook.
Clausen lost control of the ball immediately on impact, then continued his arm forward, pushing the ball forward. He lost control before his arm was going forward.
Ergo, fumble.

What a horrible call. Not why we lost, but it was probably worse than the 2007 Grimes touchdown vs. Stanford.
