@TheSuperHerper have you tried the bacon trap? you basically get a water jug with 4 holes at the top for the wasps/hornets to enter and leave like 1/5th of the water in it mixed with just a bit of dishwasher soap (to break buoyancy). hang down a stick wrapped with bacon and the wasps will eat so much theyll fall into the water and drown.

it catches yellow jackets but it doesnt catch the wasps in my backyard
