I have used final cut pro and kdenlive. kdenlive in my opinion is better in every respect. I even take film classes and my prof. says kdenlive is better, take that apple.

Hey, can you make a tutorial on how to put multiple videos on one shot in kdenlive? like instead of one video, you have 2 or more playing simultaneously but each is smaller to fit on the screen. Thanks!

@d07sadur Composite and Screen are very similar but Composite usually doesn't turn the black background completely transparent. Maybe your muzzle flash layer already had a transparent background. In that case Composite was the correct transition to use. I'm happy to hear you solved the problem.

@d07sadur Make sure you are using the Screen transition so the black background becomes transparent. Otherwise it may be something in your settings. I have not had that issue so I'm not sure I can help. You may want to do a Google search to see if anyone else has had that problem.

@arabianxgoober Sorry, I never used Sony Vegas. I don't know what the Screen Transition is in that program.

@Isaiask8er Sony Vegas is very nice and gives you a little more control over some things but don't underestimate Kdenlive. It's an amazing program in it's own right and is the only editor I've needed for all my videos. There has even been an update since this video was made.
I dropped Windoze after they refused to help me recover after a particularly nasty virus ruined my OS. I'm still using this computer thanks to Linux.
