I don't know what Matts doing now but i think he's an excellent ambassador for the sport, i think he'd suprise a lot of people who have preconcieved ideas of what MMA is.
I hope the UFC keeps him on in some kind of PR role.... get him out there speaking to disadvantaged kids or something. He has a lot to offer.

Don't feel sorry for him, he's fine. I'm a CODA (Child of Deaf Adult), and I've grown up in the deaf culture, signing as my first language. The last thing deaf people want is pity, they aren't different, they're just like you guys and myself. I know you all mean well, but it's kind of insulting to them and it bothers me as well to be honest. Matt Hamill is a great fighter, and him being deaf is nothing to feel sorry for.
